Tinkering with golf equipment is fun. We wholeheartedly endorse doing so! A player can find themselves in a pickle when they have purchased a product that hasn’t been carefully inspected to ensure top performance for its next player.

When I first stepped into the world of golf, Tim had a peculiar rule for me: no touching a club for an entire year. Yes, a whole year.
Instead, I spent my time learning the ins and outs of the game—everything from lofting a bag to knowing every vendor from clubhead to grip. By the end of it, I even had opinions on things like the best style of golf shoes. Mind you, my only experience with a golf club had been at TopGolf. This past weekend, Tim, accompanied by Dio, Neil, and a client, had the pleasure of playing at the historic Texarkana Country Club, nestled just across the border in Texarkana, Arkansas. Established in 1914, Texarkana Country Club is a true relic of golf’s golden age.

Dan Crabill had the following to say about his experience with The Golf Station:
Summer is here, folks! That means sun, fun, and golf trips with friends and family. While you might be tempted to indulge in some shenanigans on the green, remember the sacred rules of golf etiquette. If you need a laugh and a lesson, stream Caddyshack for inspiration, then dive into our list below… or do both!

All eyes are on the US Open this week. With lightning-fast greens and sweltering heat, the course, known for its challenges, has teamed up with Mother Nature to make this tournament unforgiving. The world watches as the best of the best struggle to make par. Out of 70 players, only 15 shot under par going into the second round. Chase Simon won 1st Place at the NTPGA Junior Tournament last weekend at Prairie Lakes Golf Course. He shot 73 on a par 71!

Way to go, Chase!! We are so proud of you! By the way, have you grown?!

As we move further into the year and hear our buddies brag about how their new clubs have upped their game, it's hard not to think about upgrading your own gear. Sexy new clubs can give you a rush of confidence on the course, but before you pull out your plastic, consider your options: properly fitted equipment versus lessons. As the weather warms up, it's time for golfers across the country to prep their gear for the season ahead. Picture this: you're pulling your trusty bag out of its winter hibernation, ready to hit the greens. But before you tee off, here's a friendly reminder to give your clubs some TLC.
It is 2005. So far, the year has welcomed a new Pope, Charles & Camilla became engaged, Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU, The Pretenders and U2 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Texas beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl, Keith Urban swept the Country Music Awards, Million Dollar Baby took the Academy Award for Best Motion Picture, YouTube was launched, and on April 9, 2005, The Golf Station was born.
Grooves are essential features found on the clubface of irons and wedges, characterized by horizontal and parallel indentations. These indentations serve a crucial purpose in delineating the striking surface of the club, particularly the area intended to make contact with the ball. Positioned within this defined area is what golfers refer to as the "sweet spot," crucial for optimal performance.

Primarily resembling gears in appearance and function, grooves play a pivotal role in controlling the trajectory and spin of the golf ball upon impact. The intricate design of grooves facilitates the generation of backspin, which is instrumental in achieving desired shot outcomes.
